Flippant.
flippant |ˈflipənt|
adjective
1. not showing a serious or respectful attitude
2. lacking civility
I’ve been called ‘flippant’ many times; by bosses, friends, and even family members. They all seem to come to the same conclusion that I have no filter. I just like to think of myself as outspoken, or honest if you will. Sure, my mouth has gotten me into trouble and I sometimes don’t think about what I’m saying before I say it. Whatever.
I once read somewhere that one should not ration their passion, its basically the essence of being human. So many people (I’m not pointing any fingers -cough- ) have become so accustomed to our societies limitations on how we’re supposed to act, talk, and dress that they become shells of themselves for fear of being ostracized, instead of letting their true colors show .
If I feel strongly enough about something, I’m going to comment on it. That got me a few smacks to the chops when I was younger, but sorry Mom, I’ve gone “Three times seven” as you used to say, I can say whatever the hell I want. I’m not saying I’m going to go around pointing out everyone’s flaws and being outright disrespectful to people. Hell even Charlie Sheen has SOME respect.
That’s what this blog is going to be about. My opinion on whatever I feel like writing about whenever I feel like writing. The great thing about the Internet and blogging for that matter is that I can say or do whatever I want and it wouldn’t matter. If I offend you, click here. If I entertain you, come back again, I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun.
